My Great Grandmother (from U.K.) cooked everything to taste like roast beef +/- so for a family dinner they would put her in charge of doing the roast beef.

* It beat the heck out of having her apply her cooking methods to the apple pie or whatever.

But roast beef remains my favorite meat. I used to think the British had a virtual "patent" on tasty roast beef until I tried the Cajun version of it.

I have seen the light!
