I really admire the Boy Scouts for standing firm on their policy of not admitting homosexuals either as members or as scout leaders. This is a wise policy that protects boys from sexual abuse. Speaking as the parent of a Boy Scout, I can say that I am truly grateful that this organization puts the safety and the morals of the boys ahead of considerations of political correctness or inclusion. If I am not mistaken, I believe the Scouts are open to homosexual members. The restriction only applies to leadership positions.

I think you are mistaken. I believe that the Scouts do not permit homosexuals to become members and that boys are required to take an oath in which they promise to remain morally “straight.”
