I remember that picture! Carter sitting next to the most inefficient heating device ever made. That would be the fireplace with no fire. You can hear the sucking sound of the available heat being drawn up the chimney. The lights on the mantle are on as well as the Walmart parking lot sized spotlight in the upper left corner. There appears to be more than enough sunlight coming in through the window to ignite the carpeting. No wonder George Washington is looking away with such a disgusted look on his face.
