In another sign of Rep. Ron Paul's online fundraising prowess, the Republican presidential candidate from Texas said in a TV interview Friday that he has raised more than $9 million during the past two months and expects to raise a total of at least $12 million for the fourth quarter.

Paul, speaking on Bloomberg Television's "Political Capital with Al Hunt," said he considers his recent fundraising success "astounding."

He added that his campaign plans another "special" fundraising day Dec. 16. On Nov. 5, Paul supporters raised $4.3 million, one of the biggest single-day showings of any candidate in history.

“Uh huh! A muslim lawyer!”

What is this nonsense? Pretty weak.

DO you have a better link or not? Can you back up what you wrote or are you just spamming the Paul thread?

Never mind answering, your fist two reply’s speak/read volumes.

Good luck with your candidate.

Do not plant innuendo! If you have something to say, say it! You play around with words - You’re not a lawyer are you?>

My words were plain, your understanding is faulty. My son has a Ranger Tab and jump wings, but he's not seen combat as of this moment. i'm not impressed with Hunter. How does one be a member of the 173rd Airborne Brigade, and a Ranger, in Vietnam, and not get a Combat Infantry Badge?...the Bronze Star, unless it has a "V" device is not given for combat...

No, not a lawyer, teacher, retired Army. Fourth Generation of my family to serve. My son is the fifth generation.

NOBODY has claimed Combat experience for Ron Paul. That would simply be absurd. In point of fact, it has not been firmly established that Ron Paul ever WAS in Vietnam...at best it would have been a stop over if he had been.

Neither Paul nor any of his supporters have ever made such a claim. You made that up.

i claimed at one time that he had been working as a doctor (never claimed that he had any combat experience) in Vietnam. My information was not correct. The information did not come from a Ron Paul supporter.

Bet your @$$ that the Democrats are going to be asking these questions if Hunter is the nominee (not likely, his poll numbers makes Paul look like the front runner). He may as well answer them now.

Edited to say that i'm not overly impressed with Hunter.

Fact is that the man went and served. That's plenty honorable. It's the claims (no matter whether Hunter or his friends made them) that are not in accordance with available evidence that bother me.

My objections to Hunter as a candidate are that he hasn't seen a country that he wouldn't invade. Enough American blood and treasure has been spilled and spent for somebody else's problems.

The guy needs to stop dragging his knuckles in the dirt, and realise that a border fence and invading everybody who irritates us is not a smart foreign policy. While the fence thing is a good start, it will not provide a permenant answer to our problems with immigration.

The only job the government is supposed to do for the people is to defend and protect this country. If that means action abroad, then so be it.

If you don’t know that Duncan Hunter is responsible for rebuilding our defenses practically destroyed by the Clinton administration, and strongly favors a peace through strength policy, you know nothing about Duncan Hunter.

Next time a Libertarian talks about opposing decency in broadcasting, show them the Sarah Silverman show.

Ummm, the Sarah Silverman Show is on a cable station and is not broadcast. She's hot, BTW.

If true, that is a sadder reflection on the republicans than it is on Dr. Paul, since he restricts his "yes" votes to legislation which he believes is authorized by the Constitution.....Are you suggesting that a good republican should be in favor of hatred, bigotry and violence?

Hi Madame, it's good to see you again.

First, I don't 'suggest' things, so don't put words in my mouth. You're better than that.

Paul is not the same guy we thought he was when he came out with all his good talk years ago. As for your first statement, how do you justify Paul co sponsoring 1876 bills that others wrote? All constitutional....sure, you bet. Look at the facts, Madame. Paul can't do what you're dreaming he can. All his talk about 'small government' is just that, talk. He was elected to be a legislator, not a commentator

Ron Paul has never produced one piece of effective legislation that did anything to control illegal immigration. In fact Paul has never gotten any of his legislation through the process. Ever. He has NO support or endorsement from his congressional colleagues. His claim of small government is just that, nothing but a claim.

Ron Paul has proved he can’t ‘govern’. He has a zero record of accomplishments, except for pushing 1876 bills others wrote through congress. Small government guy?

Just for comparison of actual accomplishments in congress:

Sponsored means he wrote or introduced the bill. Co sponsors sign on to other bills written by someone else.

Statistics: Duncan Hunter has sponsored 105 bills since Jan 7, 1997, of which 72 haven’t made it out of committee (Average)

and 10 were successfully enacted (Good, relative to peers).

Hunter has co-sponsored 894 bills during the same time period (Average, relative to peers).

Now take a look at Ron Paul, who claims many ‘accomplishments’ and would never vote for any frivolous, unconstitutional bill!

Statistics: Ronald Paul has sponsored 346 bills since Jan 7, 1997, of which 341 haven’t made it out of committee (Extremely Poor) and 0 were successfully enacted .(Average, relative to peers).

Paul has co-sponsored 1876 bills during the same time period (Average, relative to peers) NOTE: 1876 bills, written by other congress members. All ‘constitutional’ ? You decide.

How do you reckon that other congressmen not supporting his bills equates to him not being in favor of smaller government?

I'd like to, but the link you provided was to info on Duncan Hunter, not Ron Paul. Is there a summary of these bills somewhere that I can peruse?

(It is nice to see you too. Hope you've been well.)
