Hunter is on the House Armed services Committee. Should Hunter make like Code Pink and refuse to fund the war on terrorism? Club for Growth is an anti-war organization.

Club for Growth is also a free-trade organization. Intent on selling American jobs to the lowest bidder.

Club for Growth is a shrill Libertarian organization.

I’m not for Fred because he is an actor with better results in the polls. Fred is simply the most consistent conservative in the race on all fronts.

Fred Thompson voted against it. I agree with you. Weren’t conservatives supposed to be up in arms over this massive expansion of government entitlements? It takes a pretty strong guy to buck his party, and this wasn’t the only Thompson vote like it.

and how does expanding medicare and the 2002 farm bill fund the war? on the contrary, it means less money for defense.

Yes, but those particular programs are especially notorious expansions of government. They definitely don’t reflect well on Duncan Hunter in my opinion.

If those are the 2 only policies which are negative, and that is all the LIBERTARIAN club for growth can come up with, then it is a damn good track record for Hunter.

He’s been a Congressman since Reagan, and thats only 2 instances. Not only is it not too shabby, its almost perfect.

"I’m getting very disappointed in the wishywashiness of some Hunter supporters here."

Well here is a very wishy-washy place. Just take a look at how many freepers out of the 70,000 or so that are registered actually pay anything to support the place. Pathetic!

I’ll never understand why a restoration company for male pattern baldness has an interest in politics.

I'm posting it to discredit the Club for Growth, which apparently specializes in creating the impression that conservatives are liberal.

Discrediting this group is long overdue. Their latest games with the misguided Flake amendments is nothing more than a way to sell their globalist agenda. The Flake amendments were opposed by about 75% of Republican legislators because they were bad law, IMO.

I'd say their suggestion that a vote in favor of the 527 Reform Act constitutes a flip-flop on McCain-Feingold is blatant deception and an outrageous cheap shot.

Cheap shot is putting it nicely. I'd call it misrepresentation and fraud, myself.

I take what they say as money to the bank, IMO.

That's scary. Take a closer look.

Sorry, I was not clear...

Only 11 republican senators voted for it. (Campaign Finance Reform) Right now two of the 11 are running for president and I'm hearing crickets. Why is that??? *To reform the financing of Federal elections.
>>> Mr. MCCAIN (for himself, Mr. FEINGOLD, Mr. THOMPSON

Fred Thompson voted FOR his campaign finance bill along with McCain and 9 other republicans.
Vote on Passage.

this is why I switched from Hunter to Fred. Hunter turned out to be one of the “Hastert Republicans” who didn’t get the message on spending and why we lost in 2006.
