CARBON ALLOWANCES
The British Government is introducing a Climate Change Bill that would make legally binding targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

The five-year goals will cost the UK $24 billion a year for the next 42 years, and it will also ensure that future governments are held responsible for this current legislation. The bill doesn't actually give any specifics but says the government will commit to a 60% reduction by 2050. The British government will raise new green taxes and hike up fuel costs. But it is also thinking of allocating "personal carbon allowances." Each person will be given a fixed amount of carbon to use each year. So when you travel on a plane, buy gas, go shopping or eat out, it will be recorded on a plastic card. You could sell spare carbon allowances to others who want to "indulge." But if you, yourself, run out of carbon allowances, you could be barred from flying or driving. Of course some procedure would be created whereby one individual could sell his or her carbon credits to another. The government, though, would want to regulate those carbon credit transfers in order to keep this trading out of the evil for-profit private marketplace. In doing so the government would charge a fee for each transfer ...creating yet another profit point for government. We had better get a grip on this stupid global warming scam before it robs all of us of every freedom we have left.
Of course politicians will be exempt. They are far too important to have these rules applied to them.
I'm sure that future Parliaments will appreciate this once the scam is finally forced out into the open.

I have worked in England. The air around London is terrible. The smog is bad. The could use more cleanup but carbon credits are stupid.
The only way I can see that the $24 billion lowering carbon emissions is that the poor taxpayer won’t have the money to spend.

Man! Time to start selling off huge sections of the South Pacific. What a money making opportunity! The GW Alarmists sink their money into Carbon Credits. Why not this one too?
If Carbons are truly the problem, then Plants are the answer. So ask yourself, why rain forests are being demolished to grow biofuel?
