What a civilized society. Both golf courses look amazing! Long, narrow, bunkers, but the one on the bottom must be the best, the houses are huge off that course.

Looks like instead of “Down East” they followed the convention “Down West”. (Maine was “Down East” because early 19th Navigational charts displayed West Up.)

I actually own a facsimile of this Roman Map porn — a foldout in the 60s book, “The Roads that Led to Rome”, by Von Hagen. It has inspired me to spend some retirement time looking at those roads all around the Med, starting next year.
