The one that threw me was the Capitol One Small Businessman commercial wherein the wealthy, fat banker does a field goal kick of the small (White) business man, while the other fat wealthy banker (Black) gets amusement. I did not see that one coming.

The trouble with trying to suppress an innate human tendency is that it will sprout anyway, like seeds beneath concrete, and it will break up all that nice smooth concrete.
Humans are basically predator animals, and this predatory nature has to be expressed somehow. Wars are handy escape valves for this excess display of virility and ingenious interpretation of dominance versus submission. All this “equality” shinola kind of goes out the window, when one stereotype or another is demolished and replaced with new, equally distorted stereotypes.
Someone will always be “up”, and someone will always be “down”. The great American experiment showed that the layers of “up” or “down” are not static or permanently striated into immutable levels. Individuals break from one level to another all the time.
White males of western European origin are, for the moment, “down”. But keep in mind, these are the most bloodthirsty, rapacious, unrelenting pirates that have ever evolved on this planet, and once they have shed their largely self-imposed limitations on their actions, the balance of things will return.

Have you watched any commercials in the past five years where he wasn't? He can't cook, usually can't make anything successfully without his wife or kids help, and is gennerally a fool. It's even worse in actual programming; the last competant dad I can recall was Cliff Huxtable.
And don't get me started on how Christians are portrayed. If I see somebody wearing a cross or praying in the first act, you know who is going to be the murderer/pederast/zelot by the third act.
I think, though, if you look at the article that group would be included in, what I feel, are her balanced remarks.

The answer to this fundamental question seems to be hidden in the fact that hate is what we know well. It's been around since the beginning of the ages.
No one, man, woman or child, no nation or groups have been able to contain it. Everyone claims they don't have it and everyone claims they are the victims of it. Everyone believes they have the perfect solution for it and yet it lives on.
For the survival of our own species we all build up or defenses against it and war against each other.
Who is this enemy? Is it really a person? Of course, we say, most certainly it must be that other person, that other group, not us... it was the one who struck first. It was "their" fault. But who really struck first? Can we recall a real beginning point to this hate?
It must be in the air we breath, it can not possibly be part of me so it must be you because I know it is there and I can not place my hand on it.
Will you accept that someone must pay for this hate? Will it be you or me? It must be stopped. We all know it must be stopped.
I don't want to pay for the hate of the ages, so will you please pay the price of it for me? No you say, I must be the one, my people and my children.
Well I am not that strong. Find someone else.
And so we will go forward, on and on feeding the hate. Going from one place to the other looking for the one to blame for it all, until someone pays today for yesterday.
Won't someone please volunteer to pay so we can just stop? Is there no one who is willing? Not even for the whole world?
Surely that person will be worshiped for saving us, but no, even if that person did pay for us, we would not recognize it because all we have ever known is hate. We know how to deal with it...blame someone else.
How can we live without it now? It is familiar to us. So we must all worship it instead. We will feed the hate beast daily with grievances of all kinds and will forever until the end, when we all pay.
That price will surely be the death of us all.
I stopped watching that show when I realized the only recurring white person was a stupid fat white kid with nerdy glasses who was usually brought in to utter some stupid line while the rest looked at him like he was a total buffoon.
I have an appointment to slap myself about the head and shoulders this afternoon. (It gets me sympathy from Mrs. MortMan ;-)

I’ve noticed in recent months they have ventured into inclusion of the black male in the “husband is an idiot” commercial. Maybe just plain old male bashing is the problem. The ads are disgusting. Note to self: DO NOT SHOP K-MART FOR CHRISTMAS..................

I guess beauty (or the lack thereof) is in the eye of the beholder. To me, saying White - Black is too contentious. Too general.
Was recently at meeting with some African-Americans on a project they were doing. The historian for the project is Caucasian. During his presentation, he apologized for being a White man working on the project. The Af-Ams told him not to apologize. They continued to say, along with other remarks, they use 3 terms - “European”, “Caucasian”, and “White”. Evidently they have no problem with saying Caucasian.
