did you have an ancestor in the WBTS??

Nope, and neither do most Americans.

Particularly the 20-million-plus who are citizens and former residents of the Republic of Mexico. A sizable percentage of whom will be voting in this next election.

sadly, i have to say that you are 100% correct. fyi, "the border state" to our immediate north is planning to have a Spanish-speaking judge/clerk at each polling place to "assist non-English-speaking voters in casting their ballot"!!!

fwiw, i feel as follows:

1.cannot read the ballot because of "literacy problems" = do NOT vote

&

2.cannot speak/read/write the English language well enough to read the ballot = do NOT vote.

btw, i have TWO lovely (adopted) daughters. one is from Turkey;the other is from Mexico. BOTH feel as i do about "speaking English in America". (further, "my little Latina" DESPISES those who "came in under the fence" from the south. "N____" can be "downright hostile" toward "wets"!)
