“Oh, pullleeeaassseee.”

Impressive rhetorical skills there. Have you ever considered writing for a living?

You can’t seriously believe that America would suffer more from another Clinton administration than it would from a Guiliani or Huckabee administration. Why is a left-leaning statist so much worse than an authoritarian statist or a Christian statist?

I don’t care about the Republican Party except as a vehicle for conservative politics. If it chooses not to be that by nominating Huckabee or Giuliani, I couldn’t care less whether it wins or loses. We survived FDR, LBJ, Carter and Clinton #1. If it comes to that, Hillary too shall pass and she won’t do any more damage than a statist Republican would.

Yes, the Democrats are irresponsible regarding national security. So are most of the Republicans. American foreign policy has its own inertia and it won’t vary much with the personality, or party affiliation, of the Commander in Chief. Yes, Democrats favor bizarre theories of constitutional interpretation. But most Republicans lack the strength to oppose those theories and both Giuliani and Huckabee plainly fall in with most Republicans on this point.

What likely outcome of a Hillary presidency would be worse than what Giuliani or Huckabee would give us? Why should I, or any conservative give a tinker’s dam whether a Democrat or a Rino sits in the Oval Office? So far the answers that loyal Republicans are giving to these questions are lame in the extreme.

If you really want to motivate conservatives to vote for somebody as abominable as Rudy or Huck, you’re going to have to do a whole lot better than you’ve been doing so far.
