A question emerges, how are MREs packaged?

I’ve not eaten many MRE’s. I’d rather go without eating for a few days. I tried to feed one to a large male Akita I once owned. He growled and wouldn’t eat them.

I do have a few old MRE packages at home. Seems they are in an aluminized vacuum pack.
