Does smoking cause cancer? Well, it’s debatable.

Is global warming occurring? Well, it’s debatable.

Does Iraq have WMD? Well, it’s debatable.

Does Iran have WMD? Well, it’s debatable.

I’ll say it a million times but when a country’s best scientist, engineers and intellectuals have no voice and politicians and lawyers rule, then everything is debateable.....

If the CIA is so dumb as to believe their own propaganda they need to be fired. If they are on the take from forces that seek to lower our guard and destroy us then the CIA should be gutted. Anyway you look at it, the intel community needs an overhaul...

Could this be the fingerprints of poppy bush 'protecting' his cronies and cohorts to the tune that junior pays the price???

I agree with the premise of your comment, but would add that scientists, engineers, and intellectuals can be equally political and driven by self interest. Further, how does one define who are a country’s ‘best’? The most innovative scientists are not necessarily the ones with the most NIH grants or the most publications. The ‘best’ intellectuals are not necessarily department heads at universities. I think everyone needs to have more voice.
