We switched to a VOIP “land-line” and it definitely saves us over a traditional land-line... And it’s still completely compatible with fax. :)

That may be so, but if power goes out in your area, you have no comms. At least the POTS lines supply their own power.

True, but that’s why we have cell phones as well. If the power is out, faxing is the least of my worries.
