..and many Baptists, Anglicans, Catholics, Methodists are probably in a similar state of ignorance about THEIR doctrines!! :)

Curiously atheists all know exactly what their doctrines are - they just haven’t thought through the consequences of them.

As I understand Mormon theology, angels are beings that were not created by God, but were procreated by God.

“I think MANY Mormons don’t realize what their DOCTRINES say.”

You hit the nail on the head! Most Mormons are born into their religion. Their parents are Mormon, their grandparents are Mormons, their great grandparents are Mormons, etc. Very few of them understand their church doctrines. They simply believe what their parents taught them and don’t question the faith they were raised in. I have a very good friend who was raised in a Mormon family. He decided to study the Mormon church doctrine and compare it to Christianity. He concluded that Mormonism is not compatible with Christianity and as a result of his research he became a born again Christian. His family has pretty much shunned him for leaving the Mormon faith. His brother admitted to him that he is troubled with the history of Mormonism and some of their doctrines, but he says that he cannot leave his faith because if he did his family would basically disown him. Mormons who leave their faith know that there is a high price to pay when doing so. For many of them it isn’t worth losing their families over.

Who Jesus Christ is, is far more important than who the next president will be.

Right. What a person believes about the next president will not affect his or her eternal destiny, but what a person believes about Jesus Christ will determine where he or she spends eternity. Either Jesus of Nazereth eternally was, is, and eternally will be the Son of God and 2nd person of the Divine Trinity, or he was an imposter and there is no hope for any man or woman beyond the grave.

The Westminster Confession ch II part III:

" In the unity of the Godhead there be three Persons of one substance, power, and eternity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. The Father is of none, neither begotten nor proceeding; the Son is eternally begotten of the Father; the Holy Ghost eternally proceeding from the Father and the Son."

Anyone who claims that Jesus Christ is a created being has a false concept of Christ and Christianity.

Just tonight while talking to my husband I was telling him about a movie on tv. It seems that the husband left his wife for another man and his daughter was trying to bring an ex-lover of her fathers new lover to break them up. Then he went to her and explained he loved her and she didn’t have anything to do with him leaving her and her mother for another man. It just made me sick, then click went the tv. I have noticed that more and more homosexuality is accepted in so many tv shows and of course the movies. Hollywood has such an impact on our cultural. Conservatives try to pick pro-life candidates but the people in this country don’t want to get rid of abortion and sin is relative. The next 10 or twenty years are going to be interesting. Sometimes people don’t want to live Godly lives and the only way to get their attention is bring them to their knees. Right after 911 people went to their churches and the politicians stood together,we were afraid, and had an enemy that was on our own land killing Americans. But now things are back to what they were, divided. Even Christians are forever bickering with each other. The majority of Americans may be Christian but they don’t live Christian lives.

“She said the question is usually raised by those who wish to smear the Mormon faith”

She also said Satan is the exact opposite of Jesus Christ.
