Well, I’m not a financial investment expert by any means, but I’m going to town tomorrow and buying up all the politically incorrect (and illegal) light bulbs I can buy, cause I hate those other ones.

Wish I had some stock in the old brand (grin).

Actually, do they really have any authority to ban a technology? So, folks, start stocking up on 100W bulbs. Just fill 1 closet in your home. That should be enough until smarter folks replace the dolts now ensconsed in Congress.

A side issue from this silly bill that our so-called Republican president signed - why does it take 822 pages to ban incandescent lights? I mean, if the morons are going to ban them, I think a few words would suffice.

""Begining January 1, 2012, incandescent bulbs shall no longer be manufactured or sold in the United States"".

See, that wasn't hard.

Did we elect AL GORE with an “R” next to his name? Seems as the kook-fringe keeps pulling the strings and the RINO puppet does a pretty dance.

Oh, I get it.

Next, they’ll make us pay to dispose of the hazardous fluorescent bulbs.

Do you think Al Gore might own the company that does that?

And people wonder why businesses don’t invest in long-term R&D as much as they used to. Why should they, when they don’t even know what will be legal in a few years, after they’ve spent a billian or so.

Thanks to Congress, the crimmigrants invading our country will be rich if they bring a back pack full of black-market light bulbs.

I am sure this will have ramifications and unintended consequences, we haven’t even begun to think of.

“822-page measure” to give Edison the boot?

Used a lot of paper to save the planet didn’t they?

Gee, George... thanks, once again, for making me regret ever voting for your utterly useless self (twice!).

I HATE those florescent bulbs. I will NOT have light bulbs filled with mercury in my house that require a hazmat team and thousands of dollars of government mandated clean-up if (no, make that WHEN) I break one of them.

What friggin’ RIGHT does the damn government have to ban a harmless product anyway? Because that deranged, ambulatory hunk of blubber known as Algore claims that Edison’s invention is heating up the Earth and we’re all gonna die?

Screw that, screw you, George, for signing this, and screw the nanny state Congress for thinking it up (if you call that THINKING) in the first place.

I'm all for any technology advancing, but this is is nothing more than jack-booted authoritarian horseshit. Any time these sub-simian cretins find a way to stick their beaks into the essence of our existence, they do it. I have seen nothing under Article I, Section 8 of the United States Constitution that authorizes these bottom-feeders to ban Jack Squat.
