Doubtful. Everyone hates low flush toilets, but we’re stuck with them.

Also, as of the beginning of 2007, washing machines had to meet new energy requirements. The result? They don’t get clothes clean. Even Consumer Reports, which never met a government mandate it didn’t like, said they are awful.

Our politicians are a bunch of spineless morons.

They clean the clothes fine. You just need to run them thru the cycles twice.

Which machines do you mean? I have a front-loader that meets energy requirements and it gets stuff cleaner than any other machine I've ever owned.

This one is sold under the Kenmore label ~

You’re not stuck with LF toilets.

If you remodel or build, get your inspector to sign off with some cheap build-o-box-store model. Then, toss it. Go get a real crapper at a re-use center or architectural salvadge store near you and plug it in. Nothing, I repeat, nothing beats a restful and meditative moment on a fully functioning throne.

Way past time to clean house and send these morons home in disgrace. They’re useless, spineless, hypocritical morons, IMHO.

washing machines had to meet new energy requirements .... (Now) they don’t get clothes clean

How much energy will be saved if you have to wash the clothes twice???

No. They are not. They are evil.

Words mean things. Call the controlling bastards what they are.

I keep hearing this bit the one I have works just as well as the two older ones. No double flushes. No difference. Except I save a little on water bills.

Yea, so now we have to flush twice, which defeats the whole purpose.

I still have a top-loading washer, thank G*d. Hopefully it will last a while longer.
