It is so bad that distributors of Section 8 housing vouchers are suing the County that surrounds Baltimore City to offer more neighborhoods accessible to Section 8 tenants.

I hope the county and suburban towns are smart enough to fight back. I believe the rule with "Section 8" is that they CANNOT force you sign onto it. That must be voluntary.

Once you sign up, though, it's all over. They've got you.

Just say "no".

Here in NJ, we have the Mount Laurel laws that are supposed to make every town provide low income housing. There is a clause in said laws, however, that allows towns to opt out of this by paying money to other towns to accept their quota of low income housing. Many municipalities also get around it by building senior citizen housing.
