Yes. Talk is cheap but Romney’s record as a governor is pretty good wrt stopping illegal immigration.

Anyway, latest poll show Romney is leading again in MI, NH (where one poll showed McCain leading), and in FL he is rising (from 12 to 20%).

CFR guy is sinking in every state, I think he is now in single-digits in every state (I didn’t check every one, maybe there is a state where he is in top-4 around 11%).

<< Maybe Romney offered him a job...

>> Maybe that's a good thing

Perhaps UN Ambassador or Sec. of State, diplomat extraordinaire that he is.

Well I had something more in line with his issues, like heading up the border patrol.

There is no need to work with the MSM, the info is generally available. The Boston Globe stories are tilted of course but the base facts are there and have been brought from other sources. We have all seen the Ytube videos of Mitt's own words. That is not MSM bias, that is video evidence.

Mitt’s record speaks for itself. He sounds very Conservative now, and he may damn well mean it, but he in the past even supported your little CFR issue you had with FDT. So the “BS” is somewhat universal.

On the other hand accusing FR members of working with the DNC, the DU or KOS, well let’s just say that if your tired and repetitive BS has not jeopardized your fleeting credibility, that just shot a harpoon through it.

I may be wrong, but I think it was Rush who broached the subject of Hillary appointing Bill to the Supreme Court if she got a chance. Now there’s an terrifying thought. The Republicans the likes of which we have nowadays, would probably approve robustly.

HMMM very interesting on the face of it it doesn’t change my opinion of Mr. Romney. Now if Romney were to say that Tancredo would be in charge of immigration and border enforcement in a Romney administration or say Homeland security that would at least get my attention

I will say ok, then watch the SOB like a hawk the next 4 years.

Fortunately or unfortunately depending on whether FDT fails or not, I won’t have to worry about Mitt too much I am afraid.

Tancredo endorsed Romney, so did the National Review. I have been wavering between Fred and Mitt...gave some $$ to Fred, none to Mitt. OTOH, Mitt has executive branch experience...needless to say, I will be watching the next debate closely.

“So sad and very true and to such a degree they no longer have credibility.”

I’m thinking the people who trash every candidate who does something they don’t like lack credibility.

Is it just me or do others have a problem with posters who write comments like:
The job, win or lose, is shoeshine boy.

Huh? What job? And who is the antecedent (Romney or Tancredo?) Is being President a shoeshine job?

Another refers to a candidate this way . . .

Some people in this forum (who support the CFR guy with ultra liberal record with Kennedy and Feingold)
Let's see, McCain was in the Senate with the two senators mentioned but NO ONE on FreeRepublic backs him - so he's out. How about that CFR clue? Does everyone except me on FR have a membership list of the CFR? Huckabee wrote that Bush-bashing piece for the CFR, but he doesn't vote with Kennedy or Feingold, so it can't be him. . . Let's see . . .Let's see . . . I guess everyone can figure out what's being said except me.

“Sad thing is you Mitt folks are desperate enough here on FR to even say something so stupid...”

The discussion of Presidential politics here on FR has generally been pathetic, starting with JR’s trashing of Giuliani.

Yes, I think it is fair to say that some people here are happily working together DNC/MSM and trying to defeat both Romney (and other candidates, using DNC/MSM material and talking points).

"D.U. & KOS have planted Freepers to disparage my candidate! "

Mitt Romney hired Tom Tancredo to take care of Mitt’s yard!Tom Tancredo is not returning to Congress after its present term is done, so Tom is available. Tom is also definitely not an illegal immigrant, and Mitt will need some new landscapers for his house. It makes sense!

“I never knew for sure and of course I don’t have the legal right to demand to see someone’s “papers”... whatever those papers might be.”

That is a lie that has been answered many times here at FR, you better ID all workmen that come to your home, and before you let a contractor bid on a job tell them during the initial phone call that no strangers enter your property.

Let any potential bidder know that any men sent to your home better have some legitimate ID, even more ID than they have to show the bouncer to get into a bar.

Why I toss out my core principles and endorse a liberal, by Tom Tancredo, a former conservative.

Whether Romney becomes president or not, he promised Tancredo a job as his shoeshine boy. That’s where I was going.
