To think that the Dems won’t know it all and more is not realistic. Vetting a candidate in the primaries is part of what prevents the nasty surprises later.

All candidates have scratches and dents, but I’d rather know now what we’ll be hit with later and make up my own mind as to whether or not it’s an acceptable chink or a big gaping hole that will fracture when it’s hit in the general election.

I am sure if not for a few posters on Free Republic, the Hillary campaign would never figure out that Mitt said “I marched with Martin Luther King.”

No, we’re trying to weed out any GOP candidate who gives the Dems a fatal amount of ammo to use against him in the general election.

Mitt, Rudy and Huckabee have been providing them with entire amories.
