You might want to get down on your knees and ask God just how (FAUX) we Southerners are in how we treat our commitment to God and country. My comments were in defense of Southern Christians not against them. My point is that most casual Christians are scared by True Believers. In fact they can't believe that anyone literally believes the stuff. No one is concerned that Hillary will suddenly force Methodism on the country, because she obviously doesn't lead a Christian life. That is also why JFK didn't have a problem getting elected. I don't have to watch a Marjo movie to know what good people Baptist Ministers can be. All I was trying to say, and either said it poorly, or Freadheads simply won't listen is: Fred and Huck are: 1. Against sanctuary cities, want to close the borders, and are against amnesty. 2. Are for cutting Federal taxes 3. Against abortion 4. Support the 2nd ammendment 5. Against gay marriage 6. For victory before withdrawal in Iraq and Afghanistan In my opinion, and this is the point of my posts, the reason some people are just more comfortable with someone who says he believes, just not enough to go to church regularly. The churches will be full of casual Christians tomorrow. Huckabee Christians are there every Sunday.

Huckabee is pro-amnesty. In an interview a couple of weeks ago, he was asked about how his platform married up with his former position...he said illegals should get citizenship, but that they needed to return to their home country and apply - and that they could be back in the US in days, on a path to citizenship. That is amnesty.

Huckabee's tax plan is to replace the income tax with a sales tax. Anyone who has watched Congress knows it will NEVER pass. It would be a huge loss of power for Congress, which is why it will never get close to 50% support. Someone advocating that as their only tax platform is either very ignorant about Congress, or dishonest.

Huckabee's anti-abortion plan is to pass the HRA. Given how hard it was to get Alito on the Bench, no sane person would conclude Congress would pass a HRA. Supporting the HRA is tantamount to doing nothing about abortion.

On Iraq, his comments scare me. Based on his speeches and published articles, he doesn't have clue one about how the world works. His comments that we haven't tried to negotiate with Iran reveal either gross ignorance, or gross stupidity. It simply ignores the facts. His comments about invading Pakistan were stupid when Obama made them, and aren't any better coming out of Huckabee's mouth.

This isn't about Christianity, it is about HOW TO ACHIEVE our goals. And Huckabee, weighed in the measures, falls short. Way short!

Let's establish a federal Ministry of Christianity. It would exclude Jews and a host of other U.S. citizens. No, that won't work, because Mormons and Catholics follow Christ's teachings, and they don't represent your ideals. Best to make it the Federal Ministry of Southern Baptists.

Yes, that's the ticket! It would ordain the holier-than-thou True Believers™ to take names and demonstrate who is in charge. The U.S. Constitution's First Amendment is so yesterday anyway.

Merry Christmas...

The problem I have with Huck is the record set by his predecessor George Bush.

We were made promises by the President, Congress and the Republican party that our border security and immigration would be taken care of quickly.

We trusted one man who wears his religion out on his sleeve so to speak so why should we trust someone who’s record is less than sound when it comes to pushing the conservative agenda.

I am beginning to wonder whether or not any Republican candidate will be able to win come November 08.

It looks as though the Democrat money men and MSM are trying to do everything possible to pull the country into a depression before the election.

Power at any costs.

I respect your right to have any candidate you want but I was first a Hunter candidate and now a Thompson.

If Huck gets the nomination he will get my vote.
