Rumor circulating on the Fred08 blog that there is going to be a major "surprise" announcement coming this morning.

Perhaps an NRA endorsement or a major political figure?

“I’ll pick McCain before Huck or Rudy.... if it comes down to that.”

You left out Mitt. The only one of the four who can put the band back together.

Good points regarding the likeability factor in politics and that is why I think Huckabee has been surging despite his VERY mixed record as governor.
Dame with the Dems.Obama, and to a lesser extent Edwards, are way more likeable than Hillary, despite their proto socialist leanings.People have to connect to the human side of a candidate or else they can forget it.

I am sure that ejonesie22 had some “wait time” before he had to leave and being a great Fred supporter, he kept up contact here on FR. Sure Mrs.ejonesie22 was wanting to know the latest news also. I am sure all will be fine with momma and baby. :)

It is about $250,000 they want, not $600,000. They are pushing 10% of that already.

“And to state that he “inherited” his money from his father is an outright lie.”

Does it surprise you that a Mitt-hater would lie?

Mitt is just Bill Clinton without the wandering libido. Slick as they come.

he is not appealing to the non political junkies Republican base

Huh??...so if they are non political that means they aren't even noticing this race...if they decide to show up on voting day...they'll just punch the R button and call it a day...Are you playing Devil's Advocate???....I've read quite a few of your posts and I think your main issue is the WOT....I'm not sure who you are backing but it's pretty clear that 3 or maybe 4 candidates will kick butt in the WOT...and Mitt isn't one of them.....

“I guess little choice is better than no choice at all. But I prefer to have a choice between a conservative and a liberal and not between a liberal and somewhat less liberal like you would get there. So, no thanks. Lets go with Thompson vs. Anybody they can deal.”

Why are you replying to me?

Good question Txflake, I think you need to ask Fred Thompson supporters about this.

I guess I spend most of my time on Fred threads rather than other candidate threads. Maybe I don’t see it because of that.

Making disgusting posts like that, you just must be a Romney operative and/or a Mormon.

Do people need a reservation to post to you? Wanna control who posts to you lest Mitt's liberalism be exposed. Hate to tell you but I will post to anyone I want to on this forum. Twenty years of military service and I won't be dictated to.

There is no doubt that Obama and Edwards are far more "likable" and "much less nasty" than Hillary Clinton, however democrat primary voters are very nasty folks themselves and they most probably elect Hillary CLinton as their nominee.

Also, I totally agree with you on why Huckabee has surged, the man is LIKABLE, speaks very well, and connects with regular voters.

You wrote You left out Mitt. The only one of the four who can put the band back together.

Well that's because I'd pick Mitt before McCain, at least on most days.

All Republican candidates except defeatist Ron Paul will make very good President and they will continue the war on terror until we achieve the ultimate victory. In any case they are much better than any democrat nominee.

I hope you put on your flame retardant suit.

My guess is a major endorsement. Secondly it would be that he chooses a running mate.

According to Intrade, the winner of the December 12th GOP debate was... Duncan Hunter.

In this poll Hunter is up 3% and even with Paul and Thompson.
