It’s time for him to drop out and get behind Fred.

But if Hunter drops out, there will be no where for the Evangelicals to go... they'll have to stick with Huckabee.

Better for Fred to bow out and endorse Hunter, the only consensus candidate in the field.

If Hunter was even registering as a blip on the radar I might feel differently, but the truth is most people don’t realize he is still in the race. As for your comments, “evangelicals” are forced to choose between Huckabee and Hunter is absurd. I am an evangelical Christian and I have no problem voting for Thompson. Why Hunter would have some advantage over Thompson in that regard I don’t know.

Better for Fred to have stayed out in the first place. Why should Hunter bow out and endorse Thompson? Why didn't Thompson stay out and endorse Hunter? During all the "Run, Fred, Run" coyness, everyone was holding back on critical support to see if Thompson was going to enter the race.

He played coy, and all along, we were insured daily, Fred knew what he was doing. So finally, he announces (on Leno), alienates Iowa and NH voters, pro-family and values voters, but was finally in the race. So, here we are mere weeks from the first votes being cast and we are hearing calls for the only Conservative in the race to quit and endorse the protoge of the great centrist, Howard Baker? Fred still has enough support to be a player, so it would actually make more sense for him to drop out and endorse Romney, and as a southerner have a shot as VP on Romney's ticket. After SC, he will no longer be a player. However it all plays out, I am going to, as many assert, "waste" my vote by voting for the best candidate, Duncan Lee Hunter. :)
