You are mixing up stories. Ma-Nu, as he is better known, was actually saved by Krishna manifest in his form as the Great Fish.

The Fish tied Ma-Nu's boat to the peak of a mountain with a tether using his other form as a large, multiheaded cobra.

At the end of the flood, Ma-Nu came out of the boat as did 7 sages and they went out to repopulate and recreate the world having saved all knowledge.

Atlantis is a far more recent story involving fictional beings.
