Ban “on average” and “uva” as in “that big uva tree”.

Sports talk cliche of the year: "do their due diligence."

But that's just how I roll.

I agree that “surge” is overused. I have never seen this word being used so extensively and in all imaginable contexts since January 2007.

One thing I’ve gotten tired of hearing lately is, “Having said that,...”, or “That being said,...”. Way overused.

I’m glad someone submitted, “It is what it is”. Ugh!

Thanks for posting.

“Having said that...”

That’s got to be one of the most overused cliches of the past few years.

Please ban the phrases "that being said" and "having said that"!

What is wrong with using the single word ... But?

Athletic cliche that I despise - the color commentator sagely observing that a team or a player needs to find their “rhythm” - well duh - if you repeatedly throw 100 mph fastballs on the corners of the plate you’ll be successful or if you repeatedly throw the ball just over the shoulder of the WR streaking down the sideline.

One of my biggest pet peeves is that the term “gender,” once confined to the the world of linguistics, seems to be replacing ‘sex.”
