Well if Fred drops out and endoses McCain, I will support McCain.

I’m a Mitt supporter, but it would please me if Fred won the IA caucus, just to see how crow this guy Crowley would have to eat.

“The truth is, Fred Thompson is the last candidate they want to run against.”

I don’t know about that. Women poll very poorly for Thompson, especially when they see his “bombshell” young wife and kids, who almost look like they are his grandkids.

What a bunch of crap. Tell me Mr. Crowley, just how many caucusing Republicans do you think were in that coffehouse hmmmm? I bet ZERO.

I WAS THERE at Thompson’s event in Ft. Madison, another of his stops in SE Iowa. The man had a 13 hour day of multiple stops and trudging and driving thru the snow and he was AWESEOME. I also had a long day and he was fairing far better than I was...and I have 25 years on him. He won over many votes...VOTES OF PEOPLE WHO WILL ACTUALLY CAUCUS.

Problem is with smirky little asses such as Mike Crowley, the only votes that matter are those in the room at 7pm on January 3rd. And I know alot in my county that are caucusing for Thompson. This article is nothing but another Simonizing of Thompson - twisting things out of proporation to paint a frame a picture with an agenda, done by a bald faced hack.

Huckabee Outdraws Romney, Big Time - Saturday, December 29, 2007 @ 5:40:51 PM

OTTUMWA, Iowa—Last night, I attended a Mike Hucabee event at the Bridge View Center here and made the conservative estimate that he drew a crowd of 400 to 500 inside an auditorium that held 650. When I noticed that Mitt Romney had an event at the same place this afternoon, I looked forward to getting an apples to apples comparison. I showed up again today and walked into the auditorium where I had seen Huckabee the night before, only to find it empty. The Romney event “is in a much smaller room on the other side,” I was told. Whereas the room where Huckabee spoke was the size of a large movie theater, for the Romney event I was directed to “Conference Room 1,” where I counted about 100 people once the event started. With the race in Iowa currently a tossup, everything will hinge on turnout, which is incredibly hard to predict, but crowd size is probably the best measure we have.

To be sure, this is just one anecdote, and perhaps there are differences between Friday night and Saturday afternoon, or other varaibles that I’m not taking into account. Or perhaps Huckabee will follow the path of Howard Dean, who was unable to convert large crowds into turnout. But the dramatic difference in the crowd size is just one small example of the potential for grassroots enthusiasm to triumph over paid organization.

Thompson said it himself; he must come in second in Iowa. What CBS writes for a national audience is not going to matter in Iowa. So, we’ll see.

Yea, it’s the media’s fault, not your candidate’s. LOL

Idiotic drivel. You have some good statistical analysis for that comment or is it just anecdotal leftovers? Or, perhaps, you are just a misogynist who thinks a woman votes only on looks and the perceived love between husband and wife?
I fear for the republic with all the willful ignorance being spewed around here.

Do you know a lot of other people who will be caucusing for Fred, as in friends, family?

Haven't read the rest of the posts yet, but this is my new years predictions of Fred supporters responses...

A). Look at the source SEEBS.

B) The MSM fears Fred

C) The Reporter is a Mitt...Rudy...McCain supporter.

D) Link to campaign website that disproves this story by someone that was actually there.
