As I said on the previous thread...

MCgovern: “Of course, there seems to be little bipartisan support for impeachment.”

Huh.

A sitting President was caught lying under oath in a workplace sexual harassment lawsuit — one where he was the accused executive level predator and the victim was a hapless low level employee.

Seems that “bi-partisan” support for an impeachment would be a snap.

But where were all the democrat hack Congressmen (and women) who pilloried Clarence Thomas based upon spurious allegations from a person whose sanity had been questioned?

They were NOT willing to step up to impeach OR convict.

Mr. McGovern, those of us who are old enough remember your anti-American record from way back. Now sit down and shut up.

McGovern was a treasonous nitwit back in 1972, nothing has changed today. Wasn’t his daughter one of Slick’s distracions and one that really PO’d Monica Lewinsky?

This article mentions that McGovern was an "anti-war" candidate. Let's not forget whos war this actually was. Many people seem to forget that it was the dems, under Kennedy, who got us into Viet Nam, and it was the dems, under Johnson, who escalated it, ensuring a long and bloody engagement. Only after the republicans got in did the dem establishment get "serious" about getting us out of the war. As usual, the dems got us into the mess, and the it was up to the republicans to extricate us from the dem's mess. All the while, the dems were doing all they could to make it more difficult for the republicans. To the point where the leader of the enemy's military practically thanks the media, and one senator from MA in particular, for helping them to win the war.

Can we forget when he told us that, if elected, he would crawl to Moscow on his hands and knees to obtain peace. It is difficult to believe that he fought in the air war over Europe and was a passable minor league ball-player. Washington does strange things to folks.
