Maybe they have a sign-sharing deal. McCainites from 9:30a to 1:30, and Romneyacs from 1:30 to dusk.
Maybe it’s their property and they changed candidates.
Here in Virginia, most of the Ron Paul Revolution signs are illegally placed in public right-of-ways. That’s a strict no-no here, and signs are torn down all the time when they are put in the public right-of-way.
I don’t know what the rules are in New Hampshire.
I also couldn’t tell if that corner was actually in the street, or somebody’s house corner.
We’ve had cases where a candidate will put signs up on a street corner which is a person’s private property, and that person will ask us to remove those signs when we put up our candidate signs.
However, if someone was filming us, we’d find out who they were, and we explain on camera what we were doing.
We also had a case where a bunch of candidate signs were taken down, on film. Turned out it was the candidate’s own supporters, drumming up support by filming “bad opponents” taking down signs.
And yes, sometimes people just take down other signs.
In fact, in Virginia it is legal to take down the signs in the public right-of-way, because they aren’t allowed there and are considered trash. Of course, putting up signs would also be illegal.
We’ve seen people put signs six inches in front of other signs, on both sides of signs, and even stapled to the signposts.
Supporters go crazy with signs.
Sometimes things are not what they seem....

All the signs that are stuck in snowbanks up here in southern NH will be toppling over by Tuesday anyway, since it’s gonna be near 60 degrees on Primary Day.
I would wonder who those people really work for as they obviously tipped off the news media about this, and do not seem to be too concerned about their being filmed.

Down here where I live, it’s also illegal to place signs in the R.O.W.
There is one pinhead ron paul supporter around here who got ticketed for it.
