“His biography is incredible and from a military perspective, screams leadership.”

I don’t mean to be cynical, I just want to know: does being shot down and being a POW for 5.5 years make someone “scream military leadership”? Or did McCain have a very strong record of combat command before that? Again, history has shown that not every guy who wore the uniform was well qualified to be CinC.

“A nonvote for McCain equals a vote for Hillary”

I would rather spend 4 years obstructing a Hillary administration and working for her impeachment than voting for a turncoat, pro-amnesty, global warming fool...John McCain. That goes for you to Dukakabee

Mary Matalin stated from the beginning they were basically using the same strategy as Rudy. He only needs to be very mediocre now. Super Tuesday is what he waiting around for as well as Rudy.

Interesting post. I think the danger from McCain is very real. He probably will give us amnesty as you, and Duncan Hunter, predict. Even if he doesn’t, there is global warming, limitations of free speech, and a host of other liberal causes that this Republican President will push aggressively. Whose the enemy in a McCain presidency? You are. No thanks. Better Obama. Huckabee strikes me as a likely disaster from many quarters. Let’s call it a deal between wings: No Rudy and no Huckabee. With those two gone, we can get serious. I don’t think Romney is the flip flopper and liar people claim. He is saying the right things and saying them well. I suspect he is on the fence on Homosexuality. This topic is not crystal clear to everyone. I think he is leaning the right way. There is no denying he was dead wrong before. Overall, his pluses are much greater than his negatives. I would prefer Thompson or Hunter as President. There is little indication that the Hunter campaign is going anywhere. Thompson needs some wins and I hope he gets them. If Thompson does not catch fire, I think the only good choice is Romney. For what it is worth, I think Coulter, Rush, Levin, Hewitt, and others would love Hunter and Thompson, but would be quite happy to settle on Romney."

Good Analysis. And I agree with it.

Romney is the only one who can beat these 2 pro-Amnesty commies Huckabee and McCain. The liberal mainstream media is helping Huckabee and McCain though.

Romney is the weakest candidate in a November head to head matchup with Hillary ...

Romney would get crushed ... a flip flopping country club republican is not going to motivate people to vote or volunteer for him ...

He can’t even win a primary in his neighboring state ... Romney has spent over $50 million already on his campaign.!

Hello,

OMG, John Edwards is speaking to you, the jury.

These poor and sick people could have helped, John, if you had decided that a 5,000 square ft house was OK. Unfortunately, your 28,000 square foot house has made young and old sick Americans die.

According to TNR . . .

The Prospect's Tom Schaller, standing right next to me, suggests people (Independents) assumed Obama had it wrapped up and wanted to put McCain over the top.

At least 20 times on the FR Live Thread for each time Edwards says it Live. ;-)

It's a drinking game. Every time Edwards says "mill", everybody logged into FR has to take a shot...

I’m certainly not offended. Yours was a reasoned and polite response. I only wish I could say the same for so many posters who have persistently attacked me and others for saying we would vote for Rudy...or Mitt...etc.

I’ve been called some pretty nasty things by them. I’m pro-life and conservative....but I guess I’m not pure enough for them. It really doesn’t help their cause.
