“Unfortunately, informed conservative voters may well be in the minority within the GOP.”

This may be true, the informed part. However, I still believe that conservatives still dominate our party. With that in mind, we the educated have to keep educating our uninformed brothers and sisters. That’s why things like free republic and other forums are so important.

I agree conservatives, including uninformed conservatives still are a majority, but I am beginning to think the uninformed ones are more numerous. I had an Air Force officer recently tell me that he just voted absentee for McCain. When I said I was surprised, given the fact that McCain authored the Amnesty Bill and the person I was talking to was adamently opposed to illegal immigration or amnesty. His reply, “I didn’t know McCain was for Amnesty, I thought he said he wasn’t.”
