I hope you're right, but Fred doesn't seem to have any traction and this is closing fast. Fred and Duncan Hunter appear to be the true conservatives, but they aren't working hard enough and spending enough to contest with Mitt for the conservative GOP vote. I think conservatives are falling in line for Romney because they think he's the only one with a realistic chance of beating McCain, the Arkansas quack, and Guiliani for the nomination.
I fear for the GOP, which means I fear for the country.

Reagan was a relentless campaigner, and was never this low at this point in any GOP primary for President that I can recall.
I like Fred Thompson, but even Reagan couldn’t overcome the lead Thompson has given the opposition, this late.
Just my opinion, and I’d love to be wrong about it.
But I don’t think I am.
