Unfotunately, too many GOPers rather have a liberal like McAmnesty than Fred.

Can you imagine, it wasnt too long ago, that the GOP nomination would be between the likes of Hunter and Thompson... no liberal GOPer or moderate GOPer would go up against a conservative

Too many complain that Fred “is lazy” and “looks tired”. This was the same thing they said about Ronald Reagan. Only Reagan heard this for 8 years while President

In todays GOP....Reagan would never have been elected..or considered

When the “H” “E” “Double hockey sticks” was this imaginary time? Reagan was the abberation not the rule and he had to run against Bush and Connelly. Before Reagan was Nixon with his wage and price controls. After Reagan was Bush I with his tax increases. After Bush I was Dole who was a lifelong compromising Washington insider, then Bush II with his massive increase in spending, new drug programs for seniors and the like. Between Calvin Coolidge and Reagan there wasn’t a single small government conservative who won the Presidency. And between Lincoln and Coolidge the Republican party was the party of the northern industrialists, with lots of government spending on infrastructure and the like and a rejection of state’s rights.
