CARO, Mich. -- Republican presidential candidate Duncan Hunter spoke to more than 100 Huron and Tuscola County Republicans during their annual Lincoln Day dinner.
The California congressman says he visited Michigan's Thumb region on Thursday because it's a portion of the state that cares about national security and making sure the country has secure borders.
The Huron Daily Tribune of Bad Axe reports he also talked about revitalizing the country's industrial base and keeping manufacturing jobs in Michigan.
Hunter and Mitt Romney were scheduled to speak Friday night to Ottawa County Republicans in Hudsonville.

That’s the plan, humiliate, insult, sideline any conservative. The same disruptors are on every Hunter thread, usually pushing rumors and just plain lies. And yes their next target is Thompson.
The Kennedy wing of the republican party is ticked because we won’t lay down and take more of their ‘superiority’.
He’s here because he’s allowed to be.
How would we find out the results that even include Hunter? How about the poll workers that don't even count the votes for "minor" candidates? How did he really do in NH? Where is it published?
You do know don't you, that Faux News used polls that did not include Hunter as a choice to exclude him on the basis that he did not poll well?

I believe it is a conspiracy by Republican poll workers and the lefty Fox news to deprive us of the opportunity of living under the Administration of Duncan Hunter too. I wish he had his own country so I could move there!
I’ve been trying to build a little unity between Hunter and Thompson supporters. I’ve even matched a couple of donations to Thompson in return for donations to Hunter. Unfortunately there appears to be a new breed of troll using some old liberal style tactics. I suspect they support Rootie, the Huckster or Romney.
Unity is the last thing these disrupters want. They just like the sound of their own noise.
