Sounds like a plan. Count me in.
Hmmmm....I guess they missed the current forcast for the big “Nor’easter” headed that way?
But aren’t our CNY temps in the 60’s nice now????
the wind was blowing too hard last week and they closed the schools here. No snow, just wind. Chickens.
Get ready...you’re supposed to get some really cold weather soon.
~~Anthropogenic Global Warming ping~~
So did Bangor, Maine.
It’s been so cold that they have moved the weather monitoring stations inside so the scientists won’t get frostbite when they take their readings.
LOL
We just got a foot in Connecticut!
This a typical deceptive study done by the global warming cultist.
1st question to ask is with nearly and often a century's worth of snowfall totals available why pick 1970 as your starting year? To get the results you want of course.
It's called Cherry Picking
Here are Utica's snow fall totals going back to 1915 (1st ones I found in table form and nearest to this guy's Cornell University )
For fun I plugged these numbers in excel and here's what I found
If you plug the numbers in, yeah if you cherrypick 1970 there's downward trend of about 3 inches per year, but if you start from 1920 average then the snowfall per year has increased by 50 inches per year!!!!!!!!!!! Even better if you start from 1980 the trend has increased by 60 inches per year!
The average snowfall from 1915 - 2007 is 83.14 inches per year, the last 5 years have exceeded that
If you were to pick as your starting point 1993 you would have a downward trend, if you were to pick 1999 you have an increasing trend. It's all where you start, and these shysters of course chose the year in which they would get the best results. Sorry to say I'm not surprised and it's sad that this is what passes for science these days.
Here's New York's Central Park snow fall numbers, if you were to do a graph you would likely find the same and I would bet you would find the same with every one of these stations in this study.
