Hillary Wants (takes ?) Credit for the Success of the Surge in Iraq
Meet the DePressed via Texas Rainmaker ^ | 1/14/08

MR. RUSSERT: If General Petraeus says, “Senator, in September you called the surge the suspension of belief. It has worked, and you know it’s worked”–let me finish–”you can see on the ground. I’m saying to you, Senator, or president-elect Clinton, don’t destroy Iraq. It’s working, the surge is working. Keep troops there just a few more months to get this reconciliation complete.”

SEN. CLINTON: …The point of the surge was to quickly move the Iraqi government and Iraqi people. That is only now beginning to happen, and I believe in large measure because the Iraqi government, they watch us, they listen to us. I know very well that they follow everything that I say. And my commitment to begin withdrawing our troops in January of 2009 is a big factor, as it is with Senator Obama, Senator Edwards, those of us on the Democratic side. It is a big factor in pushing the Iraqi government to finally do what they should have been doing all along.

She may have a point. They may have been so scared of how bad the democrats would be that they realised they had to make their progress before the next election.

Of course, that’s a little like saying Hitler deserves credit for establishing the state of Israel.

“Megalomania is an unrealistic belief in one’s superiority, grandiose abilities, and even omnipotence. It is characterized by a need for total power and control over others, and is marked by a lack of empathy for anything that is perceived as not feeding the self.”

Tim Russert has hurt her badly twice in the past three months, counting yesterday.

Who would have bet on that happening in this forum a year ago?

Without regional stability, strong measures in the central government would have driven the nation into an intrenched civil war, something that never was the primary problem in the nation. Now that terrorism has been thwarted, and the Sunis and Shiias are settling down to work together, there is really opportunity to develop a lasting strong central government that will please all parties.

Hillary and company are complete jackasses to think this could have been achieved any differently. And this proves she is completely unfit to hold the office of president. She is clueless at just about every level.

Talk about a “suspension of belief.” Hers is a huge sophistry. Had they had their way Iraq would have fallen to al Qaeda and Iran and a genocidal denouement like that which happened in Cambodia would have taken place.

Additionally, her vote was not a vote to go to war, but to put UN inspectors into Iraq. What a lying Skank!

"Among dictators, fundamentalists, and politicians we find those who view themselves as morally superior with the willingness to sacrifice, kill, or risk the safety of others considered inferior in order to assert their own agendas."

Does this sound like anyone we know?

I watched Meet The Prost yesterday, just to see what she had gleaming in her ear. (My guess is not a wire, but a mini-facelift tape or glue.)
Listened to her chewing crap on a cracker, discussing the Dr. King comment and Obama’s readiness...
But then I could stands no more!!! Shut it off before she got to the surge comments.
