The question and its answer are irrelevant here. The Paul-haters aren’t going to be swayed by arguments, no matter how valid they are. You should eat some Tums and try to get some sleep.

"The Paul-haters aren't going to be swayed by arguments, no matter how valid they are. "

I agree with that statement. Some people are just so filled with hatred that it just does not matter. If the person they hate says the sky is blue, they will argue against it just because that person said it. The Stupidity of some people just amazes me to no end.

"What does it take to make government shrink?"

The answer to that is simple. Stop voting for the same old same old BS year after year and vote for the only man that will make that come to pass. Ron Paul.

Don't like tums and I sleep fine.

I'm afraid you're still not getting it. I'm a Ron Paul supporter. I've got one of his bumper stickers on my car. I tell my friends about him, and most of them (homeschooling Protestant Christians and genuine conservatives, for the most part) will be voting for him if they get the chance.

But the opposition we face here at FreeRepublic will not be overcome by discussing. The Freeper High Command has decided to oppose Ron Paul and his adherents here on the site, and that's that. Our energy is better spent elsewhere.

Basically your playing devils advocate. Sorry about that. I just get so pissed off at the stupidity of so many in this country.

I've been involved in the Patriot movement for over 20 years and a lot of people in this country just do not want to hear it. They are so comfortable in their slavery they don 't want liberty.

Liberty means personable responsibility and personable responsibility seems to be too much for a lot of people to handle. So they continue along in their lives believing they are truly free when in reality they are not.

A few years ago some idiot actually looked me in the eye and said "I'm free as long as I do what the government tells me what to do."

RP is no BG

Barry Goldwater ran on keeping us out of the Vietnam War. Look where that got us. That War has destroyed the Country and we’ve never gotten over it. It was a political war fought by Draftees. 50,000 dead and hundreds of thousands wounded and in the end, all for nothing.
I hope and pray Iraq turns out better but as far as a “Democratic Iraq” goes - thats a “Fairy Tale” for ya.
The Muzzies don’t believe in it. And if they have a “real election” they vote in the most Radical elements they can.

I would disagree he did not campaign on getting out,
he campaigned on winning.

Thats how Johnson campaigned as well. “I’m not going to send American boys to fight a War Asian boys should be fighting”. Of course he was lying through his teeth.
Goldwater had too much sense to get into a lsnd war on the Asian Mainland. He could see whst appened in Korea.
In fact when Johnson went to visit Douglas MacArthur during his lsat few days, the General begged him not to get entangled in that mess. But since Johnson thought of himself as a great leader, he jumped into the maelstorm willy nilly which led to disaster.

Basically your playing devils advocate.

No, I wouldn't do that. The devil has enough advocates.

What I'm saying is that Jim Robinson has taken an anti-Ron-Paul stance. That's where the opposition to your arguments is coming from, and not from any merit or lack thereof in your arguments themselves.

A merger of the two parties Republicans and democrats = republicrats

We do not need a third party in this country, we need a second party.

He lost his mind a few years back?

Is that what you’re asking?

I get daily emails from my nephew Marine telling me Ron Paul is the answer to all of our problems. It drives me nuts how he could support Ron Paul. However, my nephew, the marine, fought in Iraq and I tell him daily he has ever right to vote or support he he would like..... but I still don’t understand why he supports him.

The only explanation I would guess is war fatigue.. I would expect some people there to be tired and support the last person in the race who promises to get them out asap.. I can tell you with family members, friends, and coworkers who serve, most of them don’t even know who Ron Paul is, they are too busy with their jobs to follow a single digit grass-root campaign.

None are as blind as those who refuse to see.

”The July 1991 Ron Paul Political Report defends homophobic remarks made by Tom Clancy, and cites Clancy saying, "I live in a free country, and if people want to have their anuses used in that way, while I find it unsavory, I do not arrogate to myself the right to prevent them from doing so."

What’s so horrible about that statement? If a turd burglar wants to ride the Hershey highway than as long as he isn’t infringing on the life, liberty or property of another, then no matter how disgusting I find it to be he has the right to do so, but wait they spread their AIDS like wildfire, so in fact they are infringing on another’s life.

I guess that makes me a homophobe in your eyes?

Tonsil jockeys claim being a sodomite is ”normal and healthy“, ok what about bestiality and necrophilia? They claim its ”normal“ to them. I guess we should allow them to marry dead bodies and sheep?

How about NAMBLA?

In the scriptures it states that if a man lyes with another man as he does with a woman, it is a detestable thing and its also an abomination.

I know the Paul supporters like to think that Paul was attacked because he was “feared” but that is just wishful thinking on the Paulbots part. He was attacked because of his unwillingness to fight the war that we *know* we are engaged in.
