Not sure if it’s of interest to your list but I certainly think it’s - at least on the surface - an example of what’s wrong.

Of course if they made videos of themselves at the shooting range they’d have been expelled and charged with felonies so at least the district is keeping this in perspective.

That’s exactly what my son jut did as part of a science project. He’s still n school.

Depends on the school system I would guess. My child did a project in middle school showing the effects of different caliber bullets on various targets. Won a prize for it in the school science fair too. She also made a musical instrument out of different shell casings. It actually worked which was my surprise. But repercussions from the school? Other than an A on each project, none.
