Fredmentum update

A Fred staffer from one of the primary states he's lost already writes in to dispute my view that the Thompson campaign lacks an overriding theme and a memorable slogan. This is the view from his state:

"Here are some other things missing from the campaign:

1) a finance chair

2) a clear chain of command

3) top-down loyalty

4) a candidate who was willing to campaign for more than 4 hours at day

5) direct mail

6) a college student coordinator

7) a media strategy

Other than that, the campaign had everything."

In New Hampshire, I know of two town chairs for the Fred campaign who wound up voting for other candidates.

If he’s lucky.

Can’t imagine why anyone would want that job.

This is all getting a bit tiring. The only thing people can criticize Fred about is the way he runs his campaign? Let's see...he's a solid economic, social and national security conservative. He's been successful as a prosecutor, private practice attorney, and U.S. Senator, raising himself up from nothing. He's been endorsed by National Right To Life. He's never supported open borders like McCain, proven himself to be a nanny-stater like Mr. Haney, been back-and-forth on every issue under the sun like Mitt, or been an admitted social liberal like Guiliani.

But we should vote against him becuase we disagree with the way he ran his campaign? This is people parroting MSM talking points, plain and simple.

Good luck with that.

GO FRED!!

Hank

You gotta think that Fred’s tired of all this stuff. Grab his pretty wife and head for a beach somewhere.

The Fredheads have been loyal soldiers. Some, I suppose, will spend their time doing opposition research for the Democrats against the remaining candidates. Some will find new candidates to support, and some will lose interest in the primaries all together like I lost interest in the NFL playoffs when my Steelers lost. Fred might have had a better chance if his supporters had just been a little more considerate of others

Fred and his campaign blew what might have been a cakewalk

leading overall before he entered the race

then 2 poor debates and one skipped entirely

and a lackadaiscal media plunge

and too many “uhs”

I mean he is a great man for the job but this campaign has been a case study on defeat from the jaws of victory

the last debate was the only shining moment

now he’s 4th place where he once led bigtime and has campaigned hard

it’s over

if he had surged after the last debate he might have made it but not now in just 36 hours

and believe me....it will get ugly here...it’ll be like Schiavo and Rudigate again...

just wait

I expected Fred to be articulate and likeable like Reagan. He comes off like the crypt keeper. He makes the same mistakes that the Clintons do; getting angry in public. Fred jumped down Hannity’s throat on Fox. People LOVE Hannity. In the end, I just don’t think people liked HIM regardless of his conservatism.

I have not been called by one single candidate (since I have no regular phone, only a cell) but quite frankly would not want someone calling me. It makes me think we should take away the vote from women and those without an adequate IQ.

Wait til Fred endorses McCain. There’ll be hell to pay around here. Conservative, my arse!

Pass the popcorn.
