In terms of the November election, apart from kamikaze attacks on the GOP, what can you do?

Nobody is planning kamikaze attacks on the GOP, and it is disingenuous for you to make a remark like that. The problem is that there is no real difference between a liberal Republican and a liberal democrat. We aren't married to the party. We believe in a philosophy rather than a party, and if neither party believes what we do, why should we support either? The GOP needs us in the general election. If they run a liberal or a moderate, we don't need them. It isn't an attack... it is about supporting those things we believe, and not voting for people who work against our interests... in this case, our liberty.

I will likely vote for whoever the GOP runs rather than sit out, since the dems are so bad for the country. But some won't. I don't blame them. It isn't all about the "party," you know. Some of us really believe it matters who we have running the government.

Go be a party hack if you want. I'll be a conservative and keep trying to change minds with something more substantial than a bandwagon/pep rally approach.

I'm not a Republican.

Then you better be prepared for a long cold winter, because there is no Reaganesque Republican waiting in the wings.

Reagan was a man of his time and no other. You cannot bring back the past, you can only move forward. With an attitude like yours and your fellow Luddites, you are condemning all Americans to an unbroken run of Democrat presidents and leadership.

Go ahead and sit this one out, then when Ronald Reagan doesn't rise from the grave, you can sit out the 2012 elections as well. In the meantime, the SCOTUS will be returned to a full blown extention of the Democrat party and our rights will be gradually taken away as the Justices legislate from the bench.

Name a single Conservative out there who has the stature, compelling message, and electability that Ronald Reagan had. It's obvious the Fred hasn't got the drive to win and he is, afterall, a watered down Conservative.

All of you who subscribe to this notion of "teaching the Republican Party a lesson" are idiots. If you aren't part of the solution, then you are part of the problem. I would rather have a Liberal Republican in the White House than any of the hard-core socialists running in the Democrat Party.

Go ahead and sit this one out...I hope you enjoy living the next several decades in your chosen alternative, a European style socialist paradise. Enjoy your socialized medicine, your 70% tax burden, and your lower standard of living. You will have earned it at least as much as those voting for the Democrat candidate.
