Immigrants Call On Mexican Consulate To Do More To Prevent Deportations

Some immigrants held a protest outside the Mexican Consulate's Midtown office on Wednesday, calling on it to do more to prevent deportations.

Protestors want the consulate to help defend the rights of its citizens. They say Mexico is the leading receiving country of U.S. deportees.

"Many of us are Mexican citizens, and we have seen that our consulate doesn't do enough for us, often times we don't receive the respect that we deserve when we come to do our business with the Mexican Consulate," said protestor Leticia Alanis. "And another very bad experience that we have is now with all the deportations that are going on lately, we don't fee that we get much support from the consulate."

The group is also calling for the public to boycott Western Union. They say the company -- which is the world's largest money transfer agency -- charges high fees, but fails to invest in the communities it profits from.

I wonder how they’d like a 50% tax on all their illegaly earned income they are trying to wire home ? It might keep a few hospital emergency rooms open.

I’ve had the same thing to say about several of the US consulates I’ve visited around the world. A lot of those State Dept. chumps figure they’re kings of their little world and don’t need to bother with the little folk. They’re too busy arranging lunch with the local Sub-minister of Manure Disbursment to help Americans in need.

The brazenness and arrogance of these people is amazing. I guess they don’t have one bit of desire to win the goodwill of the mass of Americans. And they know the devotees of cultural suicide (whether due to self-hate or ddesire for economic advantage) will not object or reappraise no matter what outrage they commit.

The Walmart back home, last time i was there charged like 5 times the amount for money transfers to Mexico. Can’t imagine why.

"...The group is also calling for the public to boycott Western Union. They say the company -- which is the world's largest money transfer agency -- charges high fees, but fails to invest in the communities it profits from...."

FAILS to invest in the (MEXICAN?) Community??

WESTERN UNION??

What about "suing" your OWN Country and El Presidente for not "Investing" in their own citizens Communities & Future!

I guess SUING AMERICAN Companies is alot smarter AND Safer! Go sue your Mexican Gov't and you'll end up Missing!

Besides--There IS no-one left IN Mexico to sue anyhow--everyone Mexican is already OVER HERE in America!! EXCEPT for the BILLIONS Sent Back TO MEXICO from Illegals sending it TAX FREE TO Mexico! all VIA "Western Union!" Hahahaha!

You ain't kidding-they learn fast!

Travis! You are the Cuckoo story Johnny Appleseed! Love ya. We need an entire category in this forum entitled “Parasites” perhaps with an “Unmitigated Gall” subcategory. How dare we enforce our laws? How dare the Mexican consulate not stop us from enforcing our laws? Oh, I have discovered another potential category: “Unclear on the Concept”

They’re running to their consulates begging for help? Good. We’re starting to have an effect.
