For what its worth, both of you misunderstand Ron Paul. He definately doesn't want us to lose; he thinks that the war is defiling us. I can't agree with that idea, but that's where he is.
Can't you have pity on those of us in NY who are not liberals? Can't you send him to Siberia or something?

Everyone needs a reminder of some of Pauls BAD immigration votes.
Especially Item #2. This was an amnesty and allowed for chain migration, more visas, blah,blah, and one reason it has gotten as bad as it has. It was pushed by the White House.

Paul voted against the Hunter Amendment to H.R. 4437, the Border Protection, Antiterrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act of 2005. The Hunter Amendment would shore up security by building fences and other physical infrastructure to keep out illegal aliens. Specifically, it mandates the construction of specific security fencing, including lights and cameras, along the Southwest border for the purposes of gaining operational control of the border. As well, it includes a requirement for the Secretary of Homeland Security to conduct a study on the use of physical barriers along the Northern border. The Hunter Amendment passed by a vote of 260-159.

Totally agree. We can continue to poor billions upon billions of dollars into the defense of Iraq but is it worth it if our country is nothing more than a shell of what our Founders placed in the Constitution?

The last president that headed down that path got assasinated a few months later, and the people that he was defying presided over the investigation of his death.
Obviously, California State Senator Tom McClintock is going to base his decision on constitutional positions and not the latest polls. Obviously, many other people will stand by a candidate regardless of where that candidate stands on constitutional issue. I’ve absolutely no problem with a person making a decision based upon constitutional principles.
With Hunter and Tancredo out of the race, who of the remaining candidates will not sign, or push an amnesty bill for illegal immigrants?
With Thompson out of the race, who will champion states rights?
Of the remaining candidates, which one will reduce the size of the federal government?
Which will work most fervently for a balanced budget?
Which candidate will limit entanglements with corrupt foreign powers and global government organizations?
Which will work to strengthen the value of the dollar that would lower the cost of imports, especially oil?
