He stuck by his principles and governed one of the most liberal area of the country. We play the hand we are dealt, but we do so with honor and dignity. I work with liberals all the time. There are some very decent people who have different views than do I. I cannot shout them down. I work with them. That doesn't mean I share their views; only that I respect their right to have different views. We then attempt to resolve those differences and move forward.

blah, blah, blah...

What does that have to do with governing as a pro-abortion and pro-gay governor?

Romney was able to govern in a pro-abortion, pro-gay state by standing up for his principles. Romney is definitely not "pro-gay" or "pro-abortion". The Republican Party needs to follow Romney's lead and change hearts, not add another layer of Federal Law. If you are anti-gay or anti-abortion, don't have a homosexual lifestyle or get an abortion. Talk about the down side of homosexuality and abortion to young people and engage people in a meaningful dialog that will change hearts. I am, a true conservative and by that I mean I don't want the government interfering in my life.
