I agree.

The Supreme Court would be reason enough to prevent another Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

McCain has stated that he likes Ruth Ginsburg.

Tell me again how putting him in the President's office is any different than a Dem???

When I think of all the hot air by people who say they will sit this election out if McCain is the nominee, I think of how hypocritical those people are. Between the War on Terror, the Supreme Court, activist judges at all lower levels, and abortion, I think it might be necessary for them to put country above party.

It’s mind boggling that they would be willing to allow a Dem president with a Dem House and Senate enact all the crap we’ve been fighting against, just to “save the party.” This isn’t the United State of Conservatives; it’s the USA and we will have a choice on election day. If it’s not purist enough for some, they need to grow up and be the realists they have always otherwise been. I understand why they are upset; in fact, they are quite good at listing all the substantive reasons why McCain has screwed up. It’s just not enough, IMO, to sit this election out. And, who will they build their fragmented coalition with when the dust settles? The party might lurch to the center without them, or with them. Either way, there is a choice on election day and all responsible citizens have to make it.

All the Republican candidates are a lot more like H. W. Bush than W. Bush. I doubt that any of them have the stomach to fight at the necessary level to push a Clarence Thomas through the Senate, so expect a lot of David Souter like nominees. There is not a dime's difference between Souter and Ginsburg.

There are a couple of Republican candidates whom I will NOT vote for and I will have a perfectly clear conscience afterwards. I am praying for a brokered convention and that someone worthy will ultimately result.
