COULTER: I will campaign for her (Hillary) if it's McCain. (Transcript)

HANNITY: And Senator John McCain is gaining momentum, but not all conservatives are jumping for joy. Senator McCain is a polarizing candidate for many. And critics point to his stance on immigration, his work with Russ Feingold. But with a potential Hillary Clinton candidacy on the Democratic side of the aisle, will true conservatives eventually fall in line and support the Arizona senator?

Joining us now, author of the "New York Times" best seller, "If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd be Republicans," our friend Ann Coulter. How are you?

ANN COULTER, AUTHOR, "IF DEMOCRATS HAD ANY BRAINS": Fine, thank you.

HANNITY: I'm standing on substance here.

COULTER: Yes.

HANNITY: It's immigration. It's limits on free speech. It's not supporting tax cuts.

COULTER: It's Anwar. It's torture at Guantanamo.

HANNITY: Class warfare rhetoric. It's interrogations. It's Guantanamo. It's Anwar. These are not small issues to conservatives.

COULTER: No, and if you're looking at substance rather than whether it's an R or D after his name, manifestly, if our's candidate than Hillary's going to be our girl, Sean, because she's more conservative than he is. I think she would be stronger on the war on terrorism. I absolutely believe that.

HANNITY: That's the one area I disagree with you.

COULTER: No, yes, we're going to sign up together. Let me explain that point on terrorism.

HANNITY: You'd vote for Hillary --

COULTER: I will campaign for her if it's McCain.

Can’t imagine too many Conservatives following Ann’s ‘campaign’ lead. But if McCain gets the nod, so many will stay home it will amount to the same.

Although I would not go that far by any means, I understand her point.

Every now and then we talk about Drawing a line in the sand to defend conservative values and almost universally that is against a democrat, but again, with McCain, I see her point.

rules

Basically, the GOP is telling us to go screw ourselves, and I’m not ready for that experience either.

Ann told us how she reallly felt.

Good for her. Nothing more despicable than partisan cattle who put blind party loyalty above principle.

I’ve known several women with Ann’s type of figure, including my ex. They can’t gain weight all over. They just get an unattractive gut! Long slender bones, long slender muscles, but surprisingly strong. I have the same general build. Workin’ on gettin’ rid of the gut and the butt right now!

Once again I agree with Ann. Oddly, callers to leftwing San Francisco radio are saying that if Hillary is the Dem candidate they will vote for McCain because Hillary is more conservative.

[cue Jeff Foxworthy]

“Okay, Ann, I want you to look into that camera and tell the world...”
“Must I?”
“Yes, Ann, you must. You lost.”
“Oh, well, if you say so...I’m Ann Coulter, and although I went to Cornell and Michigan Law, I am not smarter than Harriet Miers.”

She was also against the Chief Justice, calling him “Souter in Roberts Clothes.”

She has gone from a reasoned thinker to a knee jerk attention grabber.

... But ping me if anyone posts pictures of her.

: )

I’ll simply vote the Republican nominee as a vote against Hillary or Obama. I have no love for McCain ,Huckabee and not sure about Romney. I’d rather vote Romney at this point.

Ann is rarely wrong at the end in my opinion.

Coulter is very good at stirring emotions of both the GOP and the Dems. Just think how her saying this will influence the liberal end of the Dems. If you were on the fence between Hill and Bama, you would now be squarely with Bama because you can’t stand little Annie. Genius, pure genius.

Isn't there another way she could have said this same thing that would have been offensive to Jews, gays, left handed people etc.?

I fear Ann is losing her touch....

Hey, she’s getting the message out about how the right CAN’T STAND McCain. Good for her, the MSM will only report on hyperboles when it comes to the right.

Here’s my analysis - but I’m still holding out hope for Romney, OK all you Super Tues voters next week -
McCain vs Hillary - Goes to Hillary
McCain vs Obama - Got to McCain - base will support McCain for the sake of the military. The base will see Obama will sell us out to the Muzzies and hold their nose and pick McCain. Yeah, Hillary might do the same but not with reckless abandon like Obama.

It would be one thing to go mental if it were between Reagan or McCain. But to go *this mental* (campaign for Hillary) for FLIP Romney is pure lunacy!

I would hope that people vote for a better reason than they dislike someone that supports a candidate.

Conservatives are the usual scapegoat for GOP failures and occasionally we deserve the blame but the RINOs will never ever accept blame for their own failures.
