"I’m hoping Obama vrs McCain, then maybe a real third party will get into the act." Obama would like to see that too, it would guarantee his victory. He (or Hillary) will rely on the Republicans to stay at home, vote 3rd party, or write candidates to win.

MCain is winning all of the states that Republicans are not going to win in November no matter who is the candidate and he's losing the states that the Republican candidate must win to have a chance.

You are mistaken, Obama and McCain would split the liberal vote opening the door for a conservative.
