The post was about GOP vs democrat turnout. That’s what I commented on

No you specifically posted about "how we are all savaging each others' candidates on the GOP side." If you really think any of the candidates you mentioned are conservative, it is easy to see why the GOP is through.

Whether you like it or not, the conservative base of the REPUBLICAN party, rather than fighting FOR anyone (note Thompson got 3% or something) and remembering the democrats are indeed the ultimate enemy after a REPUBLICAN primary process - instead savaged all the front runners one by one and this is continuing.

We are indeed here tonight discussing the REPUBLICAN primaries. Therefore, I pointed out that the base's savaging of the front runners is not healthy to the REPUBLICAN party. While you have decided none of these candidates are conservative, the fact is 3 of them plainly received the support of most of the party, yet the base minus each one's supporters has also savaged each one as a "liberal". This attitude, IMHO is a factor in the lower REPUBLICAN turnout which is what we were discussing. There was no conservative party primary to discuss tonight.
