This, I believe, is the problem. What makes you feel good is not usually what is the right thing to do.
Let me be clear. McCain is about my last GOP choice for president, but short of an epic collapse on his part, this looks like a likely outcome.
I will NOT surrender our country to the CLintons. This is a long, black train we've seen rumbling down the tracks for years. It will NOT help our country - and our children's and grandchildren's country - if we stand in the middle of the track, mesmerized by the light and the sound of the wheels on the rails.
In principle I agree with you about ‘what feels good’. I only said it to him because I’d rather have him vote than not vote at all. He’s already written off any candidates so he might as well write in a good conservative. He ain’t going to vote for McCain or any major candidate. Nobody will convince him to so vote for someone you admire instead of leaving it blank. I’d rather have someone vote for a conservative who won’t win versus leaving it blank.
