If the GOP nominates John McCain it will be the most ignorant thing it has ever done.
If we nominate John McCain, we deserve President Obama or Clinton.

Just sayin...

I am very glad that Rush, Laura, et al are speaking for me.
Yes, but Laura has said she will vote for the Republican nominee in November, even if it is McCain. So at least she understands that the war in Iraq and judges require that we do whatever we can to make sure HRC or Obama does not win the Presidency.

This guy is full of it—there’s about 2 distortions in the first paragraph.
To: Dane
The irony in all of this is that McCain actually is a staunch conservative... Stopped reading there. No-one in their right mind considers an open-borders, pro-illegal, anti-Second Amendment and anti-First Amendment liberal to be a "staunch conservative" except for the MoveOn.org clowns.

Conservatives care about the United States so much ... that they're willing to DEFEAT McCain to save the nation!!!You mean they care so much that they'd be willing to have Hillary Clinton appoint as many as six new Supreme Court Justices? They'd be willing to see Barack Obama pull our troops out of Iraq, thereby squandering the sacrifice of our brave men and women in uniform?

Well I don’t often get to hear Rush, but I assure you we haven’t tuned him out. He’ll just make more money, with another “I Told You So” .
I haven’t heard any talk radio apologetic talk towards McCain. Thankfully some people do have principles and don’t need to cower to a McCain or a Huckster type Demoncrat. If either one gets the nomination in ANY form, we won’t be voting for either McCain or the lying Huckster.

RUSH: This is John McCain's big pitch to conservatives?
RUSH: There is no such thing as bipartisanship anymore. Bipartisanship has come to mean one thing: The Democrats get what they want. And we're fed up, and we're certainly not happy and thrilled to hear that that is a résumé enhancement for electability. He said it. "I can reach across the aisle, and I can work with the Democrats." Yeah, we know that. And what do you ever get for it? What does the Republican Party get for all of your working with the Democrats? Versus what do they get. They're going to get their global warming deal. They're going to get massive tax increases and incursions on liberty, dealing with this hoax. What do they get with McCain-Feingold? They get the premise that government can shut people up at a certain time. What do they get with McCain-Kennedy? They get amnesty, a never-ending flood of potential new Democrat voters. What do we get when we reach across the aisle? What do we get when we bring Democrats in? Lest we forget, certain Republicans worked with Democrats to get Bill Clinton off the hook during impeachment. We'll always remember that, those brilliant House managers were sold down the river, thrown under the bus, and thrown overboard, all because the Republicans in the Senate didn't want to deal with the problem attached with it.
So once again, we show that we can work with the Democrats, and we can reach across the aisle and we can show a spirit of cooperation, while what really happens is that we lose a little bit of our identity and soul founded within this party each time it happens. Now they're telling us to get over Reagan. There was only one Reagan. You guys gotta get over Reagan. We got people on our side, that's true, that's true, we gotta move on, it's 2008. Well, let's get beyond Vietnam, too, can we?

What the heck are you doing by creating this thread, what do you care about Rush?
Don't you have to go beat your ILLEGAL Mexican slave laborers and feed them their morning portion of gruel or something before you drag them to your fields in chains.
You really need to learn how to prioritize.

How on earth are they defeating themselves? If you like to believe what the drive byes say that’s your business. Wasn’t it their demise when clinton took office? when Bush took office? Everytime the wind blows, it’s the “demise” of conservative talk radio and guess what, they’re still here!!!

Rush is keeping me sane through all this insanity.
The anti-talk radio, anti-Rush, anti-conservative war is peaking too early in this election year, methinks. The principles of Conservatism and its loudest voice, Rush, are stronger than a barrage of hit pieces by the same main stream voices that have pegged McCain as the top democrat in the Republican party, and the same voices that will tear him down.
It’s the main stream media I’ve tuned out.

I agree that McCain will lose and lose big. What I fear is that his candidacy will totally destroy the down ticket races and republicans will be pushed to the back of the room. It would be hard under most circumstances for the GOP to pickup Senate seats but now the democrats will have a filibuster proof majority. The house will be Nancy’s playground and she will be named the greatest democrat of the century. Thanks John!

Nothing to “chuckle” about at all, when Rush is not the enemy.
Very telling that McCain, and some here consider him so, when he is one of few men we have been combating the massive monopoly of liberal media and Hollywood for years now.
You/we should be encouraging him, not siding with those who want him and talk radio to fail.
I guess this is the result faux “maverick” label given by the liberal media, to those who shoot their own troops, just for good press.

Rush is DOOMED!
