There has never been a brokered convention in the modern primary era. Brokered conventions had about a 40 year period and then they were gone 50+ years ago.

I don’t like McCain any more than most of you, but thank God we can avoid a brokered convention. That would be about the stupidest thing we could do among a string of very stupid things being done for a very very long time.
