It is a tribute to “the Saudis’ considerable influence in U.S. corridors of power” that such a ridiculous deal would ever be proposed.

The Saudis have enough bought and paid for politicians to get what they want. Look at the current toll road mess in Texas, the politicians know that the people don't want it but the Saudis do.

At least the Saudis are paying for the stuff, as opposed to the countries to which we donate weapons.

Reading the comments on Townhall, they appearently allow leftists to post. Bush lied, unjustified war, blah, blah..I used to like Townhall too. Why I could just read that nonsense on the DU instead.

The Saudi government can make a lot of their money back by just selling a few of them to China, our new friends.

Learning how to jam our JDAMS should be worth a few bucks.

Thanks GWB.

We should make a law that says that no laws can be passed in a lame duck session.
Remember HWB sighing the clean water act just before leaving.

Don't the Saudis already have AWACS, F-15s and M-1s?

If they're going to bomb a target it would be good if they hit it. They have waxed a few Al Qaida types already, this could help them take out a few more.

The Saudis, in addition to presidential hand holding have lobbyists in DC. They use some of the nearly 300 bill in US oil purchases to lobby our congress in their interests. The law firm headed by James Baker fought the survivors of 9/11 when they sued the Saudi government.

When there is a fundamentalist islam revolution in SA, the more fanatical people will have charge of those weapons.

We need to stop this insanity, outlaw foreign government lobbying, and implement the recommendations in Energy Victory to get us off the SA teat.
