Just because Putin is right once (that broken clock theory) doesn't mean we want to defect to Russia.
“”Errors of Russia” anyone?”
No, an old error of Woodrow Wilson.
Like Chechnya?
On the other hand, perhaps more like Gaza?
Suppose Kosovo becomes independent and suddenly Serbian support and money and so forth dries up? Just isolate the bastards and instead of endless civil wars now Serbia could declare war on Kosovo for terrorist acts down the road then reclaim the land as in previous wars won as between GB and Argentina over the Falklands!
Just like Israel finally figured out withdrawing from Gaza puts the onus on Hamas, Egypt etc.
Prove once and for all that these places aren’t trying to merely be independent but are looking to dominate their neighbors.
I doubt Kosovo would achieve viability over time even if they gained independence.
This would be a good time to get with Putin and get on the right side.
Yet another Bush ‘43 blunder...
Russia seems to think it’s a good idea to support Iran and build them a nuclear reactor, and they arm Hizballah through Syria. All of our jihadist enemies around the world are Russia’s friends. Russia is the source of islamofascist threat. The cave-dwelling animals we are fighting are nothing but Russian proxies.
Clinton was duped by the albanian islamists and sided with islamist extremists in their war of genocide against Christian Serbians. Christian Kosovo has been raped and plundered and we're partly to blame.
I know it’s distressing to you and other Serbians, but Serbia’s never been able to gain much sympathy from the rest of Europe on its own.
"Nah, easier to know where to drop the bombs."
Yeah, great -- on Holy Land where St. Paul once walked, on 13th century churches that we just handed over to a Muslim State, on what's left of the ancient Christian heritage of the of the Balkans?
Brilliant -- NOT!!!!!!!!!!
As soon as Putin removes his lips from Ahmanutjob's posterior.
George Soros propagandist speaks!
Bush has gone mad. Basking in the glow of African “love” for the $60 billion of deficit dollars he is throwing at them, he endorses a Islamic terror state in the heart of Europe. Revolting.
Exactly...Serbia could now declare war on Kosovo as opposed to endless life-draining civil wars and these stupid endless charges of genocide within their own borders, and flatten it and retake it just as countries take lands in any war...i.e. GB whipping Argentina and reclaiming the Falklands.
Let Kosovo misstep and then declare war and flatten it!
And George Bush quits kissing Saudi butt!
I am no friend of Iran, but last time I checked NONE of the 9/11 hijackers were Iranian -- they were mostly Saudi's. But "Saudi Arabia is our friend and "Islam means peace" and if you believe that, I've got a bridge to sell you!
I'd like to read a non-biased account. (good luck). Because frankly I could go either way in opinion, or just go neither way and somehow not really care.
I dunno...I don’t think the average Russian at all feels this way about Chechnya, once they killed children in a school and murdered men women and children in that Moscow theatre.
The Crown Council of H.R.H. Crown Prince Alexander II of Serbia issued a strongly-worded press release, stating that the 17th of February 2008 is a date which will live in infamy:
On that day Europe had diminished its own morale, embarassed its own history and shown that it carries within its organism the virus of its own downfall! On that day America gave up on Washington, Lincoln, and Wilson.
It is not only the denied defeat of us Serbs, it is a defeat of an idea of a world without violence, of a unified Europe, of a society of equality, law, legality, and justice. It is a defeat of the idea of democracy. It is a defeat of the universally accepted rules of international law.
The part of the project of Mussolini and Hitler has finally been accomplished, in the territory of Serbia.
For that, we need not blame the Albanians, but those that have supported them, recognised them, encouraged them, and financed them! It is them whom we should acknowledge for their endurance in their hatred against the Serbs, for their dedication to the goals they had tried to accomplish in both world wars that they had fought and lost.
The world has, once again, started approaching its downfall in the territory of Serbia. We are not happy to know that tomorrow the fate of Serbia and Serbs, on whose misfortune they have worked so hard and so united, many will see this happen in their own country, in their own home.
Kosovo remains to be our history and destiny, but it is their future. Today we feel ashamed for them, leaving them to feel ashamed for themselves tomorrow.
We pray to God of justice for the life and health of our citizens living in Kosovo and Metohija.
